Stop using settings.yaml.example
The "templating" we seem to do with settings.yaml.example
leads to problems when people re-run the ansible playbook (i.e. re-run python -m openappstack <cluster> install
) for an old cluster.
We have had several moments in which somebody added a variable to settings.yaml.example
. This file is templated by the python -m openappstack <cluster> create
command. People do not re-run the create
command for already existing clusters (that is not supported either). The CI also runs into trouble because it doesn't re-run the create
command.
We should find a different way in which we can re-run the ansible playbook for already existing clusters without having to manually change the clusters/<cluster>/group_vars/settings.yaml
file.
